The 5th Central Asian Forum was held in Nur-Sultan (Republic of Kazakhstan)

In the city of Nur-Sultan (Republic of Kazakhstan), the V Central Asian Forum "Quality Assurance in Higher Education: World Trends and Regional Aspects" was held, dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the IAAR.

The forum was attended by the heads of the Ministries of Education of Central Asia, deputies of parliaments, rectors of universities, representatives of the expert and academic community of Central Asia, heads of accreditation agencies.

The delegation of the Kyrgyz Republic under the leadership of the Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic N. Omurov included the rectors of universities, and the head of the accreditation agency "EdNet" O. Umankulova.

The Minister of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Aimagambetov A.K., Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic, Omurov N.K., spoke at the plenary session. and other contributors.

During the plenary session, awards were presented for contributions to the development of IAAR's quality assurance systems. Thus, the prizes were received, among other things, by the Osh State University in the nomination of the best multidisciplinary university, and also by the Batken State University in the prize for contribution to the development of quality.

 Further, the work of the forum continued in 4 sections, including: "International approaches to ensuring the quality of education", "Rating as a factor in increasing the competitiveness of universities", "International accreditation - a mechanism for improving the quality of medical education", "Quality management in student-centered education."

Onolkan Umankulova Umankulova, Director of the EdNet Quality Assurance Agency, made a presentation on the topic “The University of the Future - Innovations, Competencies, Research - a Strategy for the Development of Quality or a Culture of Quality” in the section “International Approaches to Ensuring the Quality of Education”.

As a result of the exchange of views, the forum participants became convinced of the great experience accumulated in the CIS countries on the development of higher education and the quality assurance system.
