EdNet Agency Launches Training on Education for Sustainable Development-ESD

Today, the training "Education for Sustainable Development-ESD" starts, which will be held from October 11-23, 2021 with the aim of introducing ESD into secondary education curricula. The training is carried out within the framework of the UNESCO project "Quality Education for Sustainable Development through ICT Approaches in Central Asia: Kyrgyzstan", organized by the EdNet Agency jointly with the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic with the support of the Government of Estonia.

For 2020-2021 more than 100 school teachers received training and advanced training in ESD from all regions of the country, and were also able to join the global community of teachers to promote ESD.

In addition, this training is especially important in the context of preparing the country for participation in the international PISA assessment, in which the Kyrgyz Republic will take part in 2025, and EdNet Agency is pleased to contribute to the preparation of the country for this important event for all of us.

The participants of the training are methodologists of the departments of education, trainers of the RIPKiPPR and employees of the KAO, who at the end of the training will apply ESD in pedagogical practice to develop quality education through the use of ICT skills and disseminate this practice among teachers.

The training will be held online in Russian and Kyrgyz languages.
