Dear friends!

As you know, on November 30, 2018, the EdNet Agency jointly with the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic held a conference “2 years of independent EdNet accreditation: Best examples. The path to excellence ”. We have been preparing for this event for a long time and anxiously and now we are ready to share its results with you!

The main purpose of the conference was the exchange of experience among the universities of our Republic. For this, EdNet Agency nominated and identified winners in 10 nominations among 70 accredited educational programs. Each winning university was awarded a certificate of recognition from the EdNet Agency and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic. In addition, 2 educational programs, distinguished by their incredible results, became winners in two main nominations: "Evolution of Quality" and "Best Program".

Osh State University was awarded in the nomination "Quality Management at the University"!

EdNet's Accreditation Board paid particular attention to four factors in selecting the winner for this nomination:

- consistent and purposeful work of the university or program to build a logical system of quality assurance;

- a clear role and well-structured work of the quality assurance department, which allows you to purposefully act for the general university quality improvement;

- the work of the quality department or a similar structural unit is transparent and understandable to all structural units and contributes to the implementation of their duties with an emphasis on quality;

- there is a clear policy on the part of the university management to ensure the quality of education.

Osh State University is an excellent example that combines all of the above!

The conference from the university was attended by the rector, Isakov K.A., and the head of the department of quality of education, Altybaeva M.A.

 In the nomination "Scientific potential as a factor in improving the quality of education" was the program "Instrumentation" of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University!

This program distinguished itself from others by the successful practice of how the scientific achievements of the department or specific teachers should be reflected in the quality training of specialists - on the achievements of students, thereby demonstrating that science should become an integral part of the life of not only a university as an organization, but also an obligatory component, which directly affects the quality of training.

The conference was attended by the head of the Department of Instrumentation, Nikolai Alekseevich Ragrin.

The American University of Central Asia unconditionally won in the nomination "Formation of learning outcomes through the creation of an enabling environment"!

In this case, the EdNet Accreditation Council paid particular attention to the following factors:

- educational environment contributing to the implementation of the mission of the university.

The OSCE Academy in Bishkek won the next nomination, Human Resource Management and Quality of Education!

We saw different practices of how work is carried out within universities with teachers, and when choosing a winner, we were based on the following criteria:

• high-quality work with teaching staff in the context of the entire cycle of teaching staff activity, from hiring to full implementation of their duties.

• well-organized work with teaching staff, which gives a clear understanding of the learning outcomes of the program.

• the system for working with teaching staff allows you to constantly track the progress in their activities.

• the system for working with teaching staff has a strong positive effect in terms of the quality of training.

In the nomination "Innovative curriculum" the winner was the program "Agriculture" of Talas State University!

In the nomination "Applied nature of the curriculum" we won the program "Restoration and reconstruction of architectural heritage" (Master's degree) of the Kyrgyz State University of Construction, Transport and Architecture named after N. Isanova!

When choosing the winner in this nomination, the Accreditation Council considered such issues as:

- how is the practice of students organized with an emphasis on solving real practical problems and what results does this give in the educational process?

- can students actually practice their theoretical knowledge in practice.

Congratulations to the winners and wish you continued success! 🎉🎉🎉

The Psychological Service of the International University of Central Asia was presented as the winner in the nomination "Modernization of the activities of additional university services"!

The activity of additional services is not always appreciated in universities, especially it is not always considered as an element that can directly affect the quality of education at a university. Additional services can play a significant role in shaping learning outcomes and can seriously affect student achievement, as well as the overall climate and atmosphere in the institution.

IUCA is a model of how the correct organization of additional services can positively affect the work of entire educational programs.

 The educational program "Construction" (Master's degree) of the International University of Innovative Technologies, became the first in the nomination "Practical-Integrated Education"!

When the winner was determined, the EdNet Accreditation Council considered the following issues:

- how the themes of students' graduation theses on the "Construction" program are formed and how these themes reflect the needs of production.

- how the work with the bases of industrial practices is structured when writing theses.

- how the interaction between students and teachers is built to write theses that meet the requirements of the labor market.

- examples of the use of the results of thesis in production.

Our last nomination "Quality Transformation", in which the educational program "Economics" (bachelor's degree) of the Kyrgyz-Kazakh University won!

When choosing the winner for this nomination, the EdNet Accreditation Council paid special attention to the following factors:

- how the decision on conditional accreditation influenced the staff of the department and the management of the university;

- what specific steps have been taken to implement the recommendations and eliminate comments. Point changes that cover changes in the content of the program, in the work of the AUP or teaching staff, in teaching methods, in working with stakeholders, etc.

- what changes of a transformational nature could be designated as a result of preparation for re-accreditation;

- how is the training being conducted today and whether the indicators of satisfaction with the educational process on the part of students, teaching staff, employers or other stakeholders have changed;

- what gave the process of independent accreditation of the EdNet Agency in a qualitative aspect.

We congratulate the winners and wish them further success and prosperity!
