EdNet Agency Seeking Recognition by CHEA

 

EdNet Agency on Quality Assurance in Education is seeking recognition by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), a national and international authority on accreditation and quality assurance and an unsurpassed information resource, a major national voice and advocate for higher education accreditation and quality assurance. CHEA recognition scrutinizes accrediting organizations for their effectiveness in advancing academic quality and serving higher education, students and the public, supports and works to advance the role of accreditation in maintaining the core academic values of higher education – commitments to institutional autonomy, academic freedom and institutional mission. CHEA recognizes U.S. and international accrediting organizations, including regional, institutional, national faith-related and programmatic accrediting organizations and affirms that the standards, structures and practices of the agencies promote ethical practices and integrity in decision-making, academic quality, transparency, and accountability.

 

EdNet is under the CHEA recognition review against a set of CHEA Recognition Standards. EdNet is full of determination and responsibility to be involved into this process and applied be recognized. Interested parties are invited to provide a public comment no later than January 24, 2025.
